The “Scroll valve” allows coolant liquid to be regulated in automobile air conditioning circuits equipped with a spiral compressor.
Description
The valve consists of a metal bellows and a check valve.
The valve controls three pressure levels: Low pressure, high pressure and intermediate pressure.
Working principle
The regulating valve works completely autonomously as it fulfils the dual function of sensor and actuator. The regulation phase relies on communication between the intermediate pressure and the low pressure levels by means of the movement of the valve in its housing. The regulation point is given by the valve calibration pressure. For possible calibration values, contact Schrader.
Precautions
Due to its function, the scroll valve requires precautions to be taken when transporting or placing in the compressor in accordance with Schrader’s technical recommendations.
